We can never predict where life takes us, where we will end up, or who we will meet along the way. Friends and loved ones can be found in the most unexpected of places. This is our story. We met on an online game back in 2018. Our friendship developed first over the love of the game, and then through our shared love of music. We eventually met in person in November 2023 and love blossomed. The distance between Ireland and Illinois made things extremely difficult for our relationship, but thanks to the wonders of modern technology, we were able to do normal things such as cook meals and watch movies together despite us being thousands of miles apart. At this point, we have lost track of how many miles we have travelled to see each other, but we would have gladly visited each other much more if it were not for our pesky jobs getting in the way!! David proposed in April 2024 (on one knee) at the very radio station that helped to bring us together! Phillippa moved from Ireland to Illinois this March after a long and stressful VISA process. We are looking forward, not only to our wedding surrounded by our loved ones, but also to the journey together through the rest of our lives.
